Job summary

Bloomberg Singapore is seeking a Market Specialist, Commodities to support Sales and Client Service. You will advise senior decision makers at client accounts, help close opportunities, and provide crucial feedback to product management.

The role requires deep commodity market knowledge, Bloomberg Terminal proficiency, and strong communication skills to grow our client base and contribute to thought leadership within the team. Travel up to 50% across ASEAN is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Financial Services or a Financial Technology company.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commodities sales, trading or research.
• Experience leading senior level client or internal conversations in the past 5 years.
• Practical experience using the Bloomberg Terminal and/or applicable commodities software providers.
• Ability to convey complex ideas concisely to large and small audiences.
• Commercial mindset with ability to work across initiatives without hierarchical constraints.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across ASEAN markets.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; strong presentation and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or degree equivalent qualifications.

• Utilise market experience and industry trends to drive revenue opportunities across Bloomberg's solutions.
• Advise clients on challenges and how Bloomberg products can solve them.
• Develop understanding of competitor landscape and its impact on clients.
• InfluenceBloomberg product direction through thought leadership and client feedback.
• Create and manage your own initiative road-map aligned with product, sales, and company goals.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to advance department and firm-wide initiatives.
• Mentor colleagues, contribute to training, and support product enhancements.
