Job summary

OSCA ASIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on complex construction projects. You will manage tenders, budgets and contracts, and mentor the commercial team.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, at least 3 years of experience, and proficiency in cost control, contract administration, and reading engineering drawings. You will collaborate with sales, design and project teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial construction projects.
• Proficient in tools for quantity take-off and technical drawings.
• Familiar with contract administration, project budgeting, and cost control practices.
• Excellent numerical and financial analysis skills; strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in a team.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre and post tender activities including quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
• Prepare and review contracts, variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts.
• Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Monitor and control project budgets, implementing cost-saving and value engineering measures.
• Conduct site surveys and participate in measurements and valuations with clients and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with sales, design and project teams on all contractual and M&E matters.
• Analyze tender returns for cost competitiveness and contractual compliance.
• Support project teams with technical proposals, progress tracking, and resolution of contractual issues.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial team, providing strategic direction, performance oversight, and ensuring best commercial practices are consistently applied across all projects.
