Job summary

BRUNEL INTERNATIONAL SOUTH EAST ASIA PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Process Engineer with strong machining expertise to develop, qualify, and continuously improve machining processes for complex components, including CNC milling, turning, and EDM.

The role collaborates with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance to boost process capability, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance, applying Lean and RCA to reduce waste and enhance safety, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on machining or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong CNC machining experience, especially 3-axis milling/turning.
• Experience with EDM or precision machining desirable.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM and basic metrology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machining processes for new and existing components.
• Support the introduction, testing, and qualification of CNC and other machining equipment.
• Optimize machining processes to improve quality, efficiency, cost, and manufacturability.
• Work with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot machining and process-related issues.
• Monitor manufacturing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead problem-solving and corrective-action activities using RCA methodologies.
• Drive initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase process reliability.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve workflows and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Support process risk assessments and quality improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and technical standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to machinists, operators, and technicians.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure machining activities meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
