Senior CMP Process Engineer – 3D NAND TD & Innovation

Job summary

Micron is seeking a Process Engineer in Singapore to start up, develop, and optimize CMP processes for 3D NAND and beyond. You will help improve yield, cost, and reliability while coordinating with global teams and suppliers.

The role covers advanced process development, data-driven decision making, and IP-conscious innovation in a high-volume fab environment. Collaborative leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master's ≥3 yrs, or Bachelor's ≥5 yrs in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Physics or in a related field.
• Experience with CMP polishing equipment such as AMAT or EBARA.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and critical decision making.
• Working knowledge of data analysis systems (e.g. Y3) for experimental data.
• Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Proven ability to collaborate on local and overseas teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Process module ownership involving CMP process characterization for 3D NAND.
• Work with teams in Singapore and US TD sites to meet integration requirements.
• Transfer CMP processes to high-volume manufacturing and improve manufacturability.
• Address process issues with Fab10N team and select tooling.
• Focus on margins to meet mature yield goals for 3D NAND parts.
• Lead advanced 3D NAND CMP development and novel testing.
• Run experiments to widen process margins and test next node manufacturability.
• Identify simplifications and drive multi-functional implementation.
• Design and implement advanced process monitoring and control methods.
• Serve as a technical expert contributing to process improvements.
• Lead complex projects and provide strategic direction.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams; protect IP.
