Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Senior/Executive Engineer (Solution Architect – Cloud System and Ticketing Equipment) to drive the modernisation of the AFC system. You will design, govern, and assess architectures across payment backends, cloud services, and security, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable national-scale operations.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Engineering/CS/IS or related field.
Minimum 3 years in solution architecture, systems analysis/design, or complex app development.
Experience with cloud-based systems and secure, scalable architectures.
Familiarity with e-payment technologies and EMV-based systems.

Responsibilities

Analyse business and system requirements and translate into technical specs and interfaces.
Conduct impact analysis for changes, ensuring minimal disruption to critical AFC operations.
Architect secure, scalable, high-availability solutions for AFC and payment systems.
Lead cloud solutioning and migration strategies aligned with cloud roadmap.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop robust, future-ready solutions.
Produce architecture diagrams, API specs, integration patterns for multi-vendor environments.
Contribute to governance, security controls, and resiliency planning.
Conduct solution walkthroughs and architecture reviews for stakeholders.
