Job summary

MAESTRO HUMAN RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer in Singapore to manage AWS and Azure infrastructure, ensuring stability and performance. The role includes incident resolution, automation, and developing best practices for the cloud team.

You will guide junior engineers, support on-call incidents, and collaborate with vendors and customers to drive reliable cloud services while maintaining strong security and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• 3+ years supporting AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, compute, storage, and monitoring.
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
• Scripting or automation experience: PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform patching, maintenance, backup, recovery, and operational support activities.

• Support automation initiatives using IaC and scripting tools.
• Work closely with project teams, vendors, and customers on cloud-related activities.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Coach and mentor junior cloud engineers on cloud technologies, operational processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Participate in on-call support and major incident management when required.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS or Microsoft Azure. The candidate will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure ensuring operational stability, supporting incident resolution, and driving continuous improvement of cloud services. In addition to technical responsibilities, providing some technical guidance, and helping to develop operational best practices within the team.

Requirements

Mandatory

• Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, compute, storage, and monitoring services.
• Experience with cloud operational support, incident management, and problem management.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
• Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar.
• Good understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
