Job summary

Singlife is seeking a highly experienced Cloud Architect to join the Cloud Centre of Excellence. This hybrid role combines architecture leadership with hands-on engineering to design enterprise-scale cloud solutions and translate architecture into automated implementations.

You will shape Singlife’s cloud strategy, standards, security controls, and governance while partnering with CloudOps, SRE, DBA, security, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, cost-optimized platforms.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years in cloud architecture and engineering roles.
• Hands-on with AWS core services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM).
• Strong container and orchestration knowledge.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC tools (GitLab, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Ability to design scalable, secure, cost-optimized architectures.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of cloud-native architectures for enterprise workloads.
• Define cloud reference architectures and engineering standards.
• Review architectures for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive adoption of AWS best practices across projects.
• Collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
• Support cloud transformation and modernization programs.
• Implement and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation.
