Job summary

ORCHID ENTERTAINMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Senior Choreographer to lead artistic direction, design and execution of dance routines for live performances, mentoring dancers and coordinating with creative and technical teams.

You will manage rehearsals, plan warm-ups and conditioning, lead auditions, cast talent, and ensure safety standards while adapting to venue constraints.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional background as a Choreographer, Dance Captain, or Lead Performer in live theatre or entertainment productions.
• Strong mastery across multiple dance styles (contemporary, commercial, jazz, theatrical, or traditional).
• Proven experience teaching, directing, and cleaning complex routines for large ensembles.

Responsibilities

• Create original dance choreography aligned with show themes and musical scores.
• Develop dynamic staging, blocking, formations, and transitions for soloists and ensembles.
• Plan, direct, and manage daily rehearsal schedules; teach choreography and clean routines.
• Lead warm-up sessions, technique drills, and conditioning to prevent injuries.
• Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance critiques for precision and expressiveness.
• Select, train, and integrate captains and understudies to ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with costume, lighting, audio, and stage teams to integrate movement with tech elements.
• Ensure safety standards and venue constraints are respected during rehearsals and performances.
