Job summary

Fujian Highton Development Co., Ltd. seeks an Operations Manager to oversee chartered vessel operations from Handy to PMX, coordinating with owners, masters, and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of time charters and voyages.

The role requires strong communication, resilience under pressure, and oversight of P&L, hire statements, freight payments, laytime, off-hire claims, disputes and related documentation in a Singapore-based setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar role, with solid experience in Time Charters, Time-Charter-Trips, and Voyage Charters vessels.
• Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Operations Manager position.
• Strong communication skills and resilience under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of chartered vessels from handy to PMX size, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of time charters and/or voyage charters.
• Arrange owner-related port services, review port agency disbursement accounts, and analyze the profit and loss (P&L) of each vessel voyage.
• Issue operational instructions to the vessel’s master in accordance with the charter party, and maintain accurate calculations of hire statements, freight payments, and laytime, as well as negotiation and documentation of off-hire claims, disputes, and performance issues.
• Review, verify, and archive shipping-related documents, and ensure all records are properly maintained in the system as required.
