Job summary

Lonza Singapore is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to join the Cell Culture Development team in Development Services. You will execute mammalian cell line and upstream process development activities, supporting troubleshooting at laboratory and manufacturing scale in a collaborative, lab-based environment.

The role involves hands-on culture work with ambr mini-bioreactors, routine cell culture processes, and contributing to process characterization within a global project team.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant Science field or Equivalent.
• Practical laboratory experience in cell culture and laboratory-scale bioreactor runs.
• Experience in culture conditions for mammalian suspension cells is beneficial.
• Understanding of the theory and application of recombinant protein expression using mammalian cell culture systems.
• Good understanding of cGMP regulations.
• Good problem solving, analytical and teamworking skills.

Responsibilities

• To perform hands-on laboratory work in the upstream cell culture team contributing to the development of processes suitable for the cGMP manufacturing.
• Conduct routine mammalian cell culture processes including subcultures, ambr15 miniaturized bioreactors, ambr250 miniaturised bioreactors, rocking bioreactors and 10L laboratory scale bioreactors.
• Develop an understanding of cGMP manufacturing facility constraints and their impact on development activities.
• Contribute to process characterisation activities by performing supporting laboratory scale studies.
• Interpret analytical data provided by the analytical team to define subsequent steps.
• Working as part of a site and global project teams to ensure timely delivery of project work stages.
• May work weekends and public holidays as part of a rotational schedule.

Education

Degree in a relevant Science field or Equivalent

Practical laboratory experience in cell culture

Experience in culture conditions for mammalian suspension cells
