Job summary

GIC Private Limited seeks a seasoned Associate/AVP, Category Management for a 1-year contract in Singapore. You will partner with stakeholders to shape procurement strategies, drive savings, manage supplier risk, and ensure governance standards across IT and non-IT spends.

The role requires 5–8 years in procurement or category management, with strong negotiation, analytics and platform experience (SAP/Coupa). Hybrid work is supported; equality and inclusion are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Coupa) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies with business stakeholders balancing commercial, operational and risk considerations.
• Lead competitive sourcing events, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate terms, and support contract execution with Legal and Risk teams.
• Manage supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation and cost optimisation while monitoring market trends.
• Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives, category planning, spend analysis and process improvements.
