Job summary

coens energy pte. ltd. in Singapore seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer with 4–10 years of design and construction experience to lead design and construction management for industrial facilities.

You will participate in preparing tender packages and coordinate with architecture, process, mechanical, electrical teams and quantity surveyors. The role requires site experience with piling, substructure and superstructure, plus knowledge of design software such as STAAD-Pro, Prokon and Orion.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4-10 years of design and construction experience.
• Element design based on codal requirements.
• Knowledge of structural design software STAAD-Pro, Prokon, Orion, etc. (if any).

Job description

• Involves all aspects relating to the design and construction management of all types of civil and structural systems for industrial facility buildings;
• Assists project managers in achieving project completion within budget and on schedule and quality;
• Prepares, issues and evaluates tender packages;
• Design and construction experience, preferably in industrial buildings with precast and long-span roof trusses.
• Site experience on piling works, substructure and superstructure works for reinforced concrete, steel structures and precast structures.
• Experience working closely with process, mechanical and electrical disciplines and quantity surveyors.
• Experience of liaising with consultants and contractors.
• Experience with checking shop drawings for precast and steel structures and being able to do detailed design and work in a team and being able to provide details for the computer-aided design team.
• Coordinates with architectural, process, mechanical, and electrical disciplines and quantity surveyors;
• Address site issues related to design;
• Liaises with consultants and subcontractors;
• Manages timely submission and approvals from local authorities.
• Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent;
• Ad hoc duties as determined by management.
