Job summary

Motional is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development and deployment of our next-generation Robotaxi platform. You will design and build real-time data pipelines between the vehicle’s edge computer and the cloud, enabling fleet monitoring, remote vehicle control, and passenger safety systems.

Beyond core driving tech, you will work on passenger experience, in-cabin displays, remote support, and cabin safety with precise interior control.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Deep expertise in modern C++ on Linux.
Designing multi-threaded, low-latency systems.
Experience delivering end-to-end features from concept to production.
Experience interfacing with cloud-native services for telemetry and control.

Responsibilities

Architect & Build: robust, performance-critical data pipelines for cloud-vehicle interaction.
Technical Leadership: lead in-vehicle software components for cloud monitoring and control.
System Ownership: translate high-level goals into concrete architectures with PMs and engineers.
Mentorship: review code and establish engineering best practices.
