Motional AD Inc. is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to lead the design and deployment of our autonomous vehicle platform’s cloud integration. You will architect high‑performance data pipelines between the edge and cloud, ensuring low latency and reliability for fleet monitoring and remote control.

You will mentor engineers, drive system architectures with product and cloud teams, and deliver robust in-vehicle software components that scale across global operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in modern C++ on Linux.
• Proven experience designing multi-threaded, low-latency systems.
• Experience with cloud-to-edge data pipelines and telemetry.
• Familiarity with cloud-native IoT services (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: design a robust data pipeline for cloud-vehicle interaction with low latency.
• Technical Leadership: lead in-vehicle software components and cloud integration.
• System Ownership: translate product goals into concrete architectures.
• Mentorship: guide junior engineers and enforce code quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with test, ops, and product teams on validation and deployment.
