Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Shift Boiler Operator to oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the boiler system and related utilities such as the deaerator, economizers, fuel and condensate systems.

The role includes first-line troubleshooting, daily monitoring, responding to steam-supply calls, and ensuring compliance with HSE and cGMP requirements, with strong leadership of the shift team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in large pharma, chemical or semiconductor environments.
• Certified Steam Boiler Engineer or minimum Steam Boiler Attendant (1st Class).
• Strong experience operating and maintaining Steam Boiler and Utilities Systems (Cooling Tower, HVAC, Ammonia systems, Compressed Air, Purified Water, Electrical and ELV).
• Able to lead by example with strong sense of responsibility and handle high work pressure within timelines.
• Proficient with Office software; able to review drawings, procedures and maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Boiler System daily.
• Implement preventive, predictive maintenance and spare parts strategy.
• Assist investigations and root cause analyses of boiler issues.
• Assist in reviewing and updating site SOPs for Boiler System.
• Assist in implementing engineering projects to maximize efficiency and reliability.
• Assist in planning annual and monthly operations and maintenance plans for Boiler System and related records.
• Assist in reducing water, electricity and steam consumption to meet energy targets.
• Responsible for on-site 5S improvement and EHS requirements.
• Lead, nurture and guide the shift team; foster effective leadership.
• Enable cross-department communication and collaboration.
• Train shift team members to improve work skills and efficiency.
