Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Mechanical BIM Designer to lead BIM model development from tender through construction. You will produce detailed 3D models, 2D drawings and coordination layouts for mechanical systems, and ensure constructability and compliance with project requirements.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, consultants and QPs, conduct clash analysis, update models for design revisions, and mentor junior BIM/CAD designers to uphold CAD/BIM standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering BIM for mechanical systems in tender, design and construction stages.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, architects and contractors to produce constructible drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender, construction, shop, as-built and coordination BIM models and drawings for mechanical systems.
• Produce P&ID drawings for mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and consultants to submit drawings.
• Update BIM models per design revisions.
• Lead mechanical BIM model development during tender to construction.
• Mentor junior BIM/CAD designers.
• Resolve clashes and ensure constructability.

Job description

• Prepare Tender, Construction, Shop, As-Built and Coordination BIM models and drawings for Mechanical systems.
• Produce Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) drawings for mechanical systems.
• Produce piping, ductwork routing layouts, isometric, sectional and detailed drawings.
• Verify and clarify engineering designs from a drafting and BIM perspective.
• Update BIM models and drawings according to design revisions.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, consultants, subcontractors and Qualified Persons (QP) for drawing submissions.
• Produce 3D BIM models ensuring constructability and compliance with project requirements.
• Produce 2D and 3D deliverables according to project schedules.
• Assist with quantity take-offs from BIM models.
• Conduct site inspections related to design coordination when required.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Process systems to resolve clashes and space constraints.
• Produce combined services drawings and coordinated layouts using Autodesk Navisworks.
• Provide design recommendations to improve coordination and resolve on-site clashes.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision control.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with company CAD/BIM standards.
• Maintain BIM libraries and standards when required.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and resolve coordination issues.
• Work closely with other disciplines to support multidisciplinary coordination.

Senior Responsibilities

• Mentor junior BIM/CAD designers.
• Lead and oversee Mechanical BIM model development throughout tender, design and construction stages.
