Job summary

VANGUARD SOFTWARE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Backend Engineer to own backend design, development, and optimization. You will build scalable, secure systems and collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of production backend experience, proficiency in Java or Go, Spring Boot, WebFlux, Kafka, Redis, and SQL/NoSQL. You will mentor juniors and help improve development processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of backend engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Proficient in Java or Go, with Spring Boot and modern data stores (Kafka/Redis/SQL-NoSQL).
• Capable of designing modular, scalable solutions with performance, security, and observability in mind.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure backend systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code and refactor regularly.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize systems.
