Job summary

DADA Consultants Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Backend Engineer to design and scale high-performance distributed systems.

You will build robust backend services, craft APIs, and collaborate with frontend, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver features reliably. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, 2+ years of backend experience, strong Java, and hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, and modern databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related field.
• Above 2 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java (or solid experience in other backend languages with willingness to switch).
• Experience in building distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).
• Understanding of networking, concurrency, and system design principles.
• Experience with Linux environment and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java
• Build scalable, high-availability distributed systems
• Design APIs and microservices to support product features
• Optimize system performance, latency, and resource utilization
• Ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and infrastructure teams
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical discussions
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system stability
