Job summary

Vanguard Software PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will take ownership of design, development, and optimization of backend systems, delivering production-ready code with minimal issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

With at least 3 years of experience, you will lead technically, design modular solutions, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with product and DevOps to ensure scalable performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience delivering production-level systems.
• Proficient in Java or Go, with experience in Spring Boot, WebFlux, Kafka, Redis, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Capable of designing modular, scalable backend solutions with performance, security, and observability in mind.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to spot edge cases and improve system quality.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Build scalable, secure backend systems.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and refactor.
• System Optimization: Identify and resolve performance, stability, and scalability issues.
• Process & Mentorship: Improve development processes and mentor juniors.
