Job summary

Airwallex Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to shape identity, authentication, and core account infrastructure. You will design high-availability services using Java/Kotlin on cloud-native platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate regulatory demands into scalable roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin/Go/Python and IAM concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Relational and non-relational databases knowledge (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis).
• Leadership experience in mentoring engineers and improving team capabilities.
• Familiarity with secure coding standards (OWASP).

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical vision and architectural strategy for IAM and account infrastructure.
• Design and build high-availability, cloud-native backend products using Java/Kotlin.
• Implement security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams.
