Job summary

Encora is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (C++ and Payment) to design, develop, and optimize backend services for payment processing and transaction switching. You will integrate with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and UPI while contributing to Base24-eps deployments on Linux/Cloud.

The ideal candidate has hands-on C++ backend experience in Linux environments, with knowledge of payment gateways, PCI-DSS compliance, and AWS.

Qualifications

Proven backend development experience with C++ for enterprise-grade applications.
Strong Linux (RHEL preferred) backend development skills.
Experience with payment systems (gateways, switching) and international schemes.
Hands-on with Linux shell scripting (Korn Shell preferred).
Experience with AWS cloud environments for backend payment apps.
Experience with IBM MQ middleware for enterprise messaging.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance backend services for payment processing and switching platforms.
Integrate with international payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI, etc.).
Support migration initiatives, including Base24-eps on Linux/Cloud environments.
Analyze requirements and contribute to architecture and technical documentation.
Develop high-performance backend components for large-scale transaction processing.
Collaborate with QA, frontend, banks, vendors, and payment partners.
Ensure PCI-DSS and secure transaction processing practices are followed.
Document system architecture, integration flows, and specifications.
