Job summary

Encora is seeking a Senior Backend Developer in Singapore to design, develop, and enhance backend services supporting payment processing and transaction switching.

You will integrate with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI and work across Linux, AWS, IBM MQ, and Base24-eps, ensuring PCI-DSS compliance.

Collaborate with QA, frontend teams, banks, vendors and payment partners to deliver secure, scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• Backend development with C++ for enterprise-grade apps and transaction processing.
• Backend on Linux/RHEL environments.
• Experience with payment systems, gateways, and switching platforms.
• Integrations with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI or similar networks.
• Shell scripting (Korn) preferred.
• PostgreSQL or relational databases in backend apps.
• AWS Cloud environments for backend/payment apps.
• IBM MQ middleware for enterprise messaging.
• Base24-eps payment switching platform.
• PCI-DSS security standards and secure transaction processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services supporting payment processing and transaction switching platforms.
• Develop and maintain integrations with international payment schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI).
• Support platform migrations including Base24-eps on Linux RHEL/Cloud environments.
• Analyze requirements and contribute to solution design and technical documentation.
• Develop high-performance backend components for large-scale transaction processing.
• Perform system optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with QA, frontend teams, banks, vendors, and payment partners.
• Ensure PCI-DSS and security standards are met; document architectures and flows.
