Job summary

Shopee Singapore Private Limited is seeking a senior backend engineer/technical lead to guide end-to-end software projects, enhancing Shopee's platform with scalable, reliable backend systems. You will implement features across returns, refunds, and settlement, while introducing AI-powered tooling throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires 6+ years in designing scalable distributed systems and at least 2 years in technical leadership, with hands-on work in Golang, Python, Java, or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 6 years designing and troubleshooting scalable distributed systems.
• At least 2 years of hands-on technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team to deliver end-to-end projects across the software development life cycle.
• Implement features to Shopee as a platform, including returns, refunds, clearing and settlement.
• Use AI coding tools across the development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and review.
• Build AI-native engineering practices, including Agent Harnesses, AI Loops, and knowledge reuse.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impact and ensure progress and quality.
