Job summary

Secretlab SG PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled backend engineer in Singapore to design and maintain scalable services across Java 21+/PHP 8.2 ecosystems. You will build hybrid persistence, ensure data integrity, and own event-driven workflows from emission to consumption.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Logistics to tailor internal solutions, deploy secure code, and optimize systems for high availability and performance across our global e-commerce platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of production-grade backend experience.
• 2+ years in event-driven architectures (EDA) with asynchronous workflows at scale.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) for hybrid persistence.
• Security-first coding with OWASP principles and encryption at rest/in transit.
• Strong teamwork and ability to work across departments.
• Proficiency in Java 21+ and PHP 8.2+ environments.

Responsibilities

• Design hybrid schemas leveraging SQL and NoSQL strengths.
• Develop decoupled microservices with event-driven patterns (Pub/Sub, CQRS, EDA).
• Own lifecycle of events from emission to consumption with zero data loss.
• Build and maintain core services across Java and PHP ecosystems.
• Create secure, scalable infrastructure with well-documented code.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Logistics to gather requirements.
