Job summary

Decathlon Singapore is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable Java microservices powering our e-commerce platforms across APAC. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to translate business requirements into high-performance backend solutions.

Responsibilities include API design, secure APIs with OAuth 2.0, code quality, documentation, and collaboration with product and engineering managers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years backend software engineering with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Security of web services using OAuth 2.0.
• Experience with relational databases and messaging systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-native microservices, containers, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend features in Java/Spring Boot and ensure clean, testable code.
• Design robust REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Uphold code quality through tests, reviews, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and stakeholders to deliver features aligned with priorities.
