Job summary

DCI CONSULTANTS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions in an agile team.

You will design and build robust RESTful APIs and microservices, implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, lead database design, ensure security and performance, and collaborate with frontend teams to define API contracts, CI/CD pipelines, and system

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot, Kotlin, or C# (.NET Core).
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proven experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation/CDK, CloudWatch, IAM.
• Proficient in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of testing and CI/CD practices (JUnit/TestNG/NUnit, Git).
• Experience with agile development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable backend services using Java Spring Boot/Kotlin/C#.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices following best practices.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Lead the design and implementation of database schemas and data models.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other stakeholders to define and implement API contracts.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Participate in system design discussions and technical planning.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimise system performance.
