Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Staff / Principal Automation Integration Engineer to drive factory-wide automation transformation and labor productivity improvements across semiconductor manufacturing operations.

You will lead the design, integration, deployment, optimization, and production release of advanced automation solutions including AMHS, AGV/AMR, ASRS, robotics, MES connectivity, and smart manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Technical Leadership: Define and drive site-level automation integration strategies aligned with manufacturing capacity expansion, labor efficiency, quality, safety, and factory modernization objectives.
Opportunity Identification & Business Case Development: Identify operational gaps, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities; analyze flows and material handling; prepare ROI-based business cases.
System Architecture, Design & Integration: Architect end-to-end automation solutions; ensure compatibility with MES, dispatching, scheduling, and reporting systems.
Project & Program Execution: Lead complex automation projects from idea to production release; manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and validation.
Vendor, Supplier & Technology Management: Benchmark technologies; lead vendor selections; ensure deployment outcomes.
Production Ramp, Sustainment & Continuous Improvement: Monitor KPIs; drive continuous improvement using data analytics and cross-functional reviews.
