Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff/Principal Automation Integration Engineer to lead factory-wide automation transformation across semiconductor operations in Singapore.

You will direct design, integration, deployment, and production release of advanced automation solutions including AMHS, AGV/AMR, ASRS, robotics, machine vision, MES connectivity, and smart manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with multiple functions to identify opportunities, build business cases, and execute

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor engineering, or semiconductor equipment/process integration experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on automation experience including factory automation, equipment automation, automation integration, robotics, AMHS, AGV/AMR, smart manufacturing systems.
• Proven experience leading medium-to-large scale automation projects from concept through production release.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor assembly, test, advanced packaging, HBM, wafer manufacturing, or related advanced manufacturing operations.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Manufacturing, Process, Equipment, IT, Facilities, and external vendors.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive site-level automation integration strategies aligned with capacity expansion, labor efficiency, quality, safety, and modernization objectives.
• Serve as a senior technical authority for automation architecture, solution design, system integration, and production readiness.
• Establish automation standards, governance, and scalable deployment models across manufacturing areas.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross-functional teams through structured problem solving and leadership.
• Lead complex automation projects from ideation to production release and sustainment.
• Coordinate activities related to development, procurement, installation, calibration, validation, and release of automation equipment.
• Benchmark and assess automation technologies; lead supplier selections; manage vendor performance.
