Job summary

Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch is seeking a Senior Associate/Assistant Director for its Structured Finance Team within the Investment Banking Division. You will support deal principals in origination, structuring and execution across project finance, structured export finance/ ECA, leveraged finance, fund finance, and syndication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a good university.
• ≥2 years in Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance or Syndication.
• Experience alongside Investment Banking, Sector Coverage, Strategic Advisory, or Corporate Finance.
• Strong understanding of Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and/or Syndication.
• Experience in financial modelling, credit analysis, and valuations.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin preferred for liaising with Greater China clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist to drive origination and execution of Project Financing, Structured Export Financing/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and Syndication.
• Assist to oversee relevant portfolio and customer relationships on a daily basis.
• Assist to structure and execute complex and large-scale financing solutions with Corporate Banking RMs and Product teams.
• Assist to contribute to hedging solutions as part of transactions.
• Assist to partner advisory teams on pitchbooks for event-driven ideas generated by IBD, including integrated debt and hedging solutions.
• Assist to draw up term sheets, credit memos, financial modelling and info memos, and coordinate internal approvals.
• Assist to actively manage risk profile of assets through monitoring, risk mitigants, and reporting.
• Support industry research and strategy exercises such as growth areas, country strategies, and benchmarking.

Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch ("BOCSG") is looking to hire a Senior Associate/Assistant Director for its Structured Finance Team, housed under the Investment Banking Department, as part of the branch’s Investment Banking Division (the "Division"). As junior staff, you will support the deal principals and senior staff of the Structured Finance team and of the Investment Banking Division in origination, structuring and execution across Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and Syndication.

As part of the Division's ambition in providing strategic advice across M&A, Capital Markets and Debt solutions to BOCSG’s highest tier of global clients across all sectors, the Structured Finance team drives event-driven, transformational, complex debt financing transactions.

• Assist to drive origination and execution of Project Financing, Structured Export Financing/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and Syndication.
• Assist to oversee relevant portfolio and customer relationship on a daily basis.
• Assist to structure and execute complex and large-scale financing solutions tailored to clients' needs, through partnering Corporate Banking RMs and Product teams
• Assist to contribute to associated Financial Market hedging solutions as part of aforementioned transactions
• Assist to partner advisory teams within the Division on thought-pieces (pitchbooks) for event driven ideas generated by IBD, comprising of integrated debt (bonds, loans), and hedging solutions
• Assist to draw up term sheets, credit memos, financial modelling and info memos, periodic review of assigned portfolio, as well as the preparation and coordination of internal approval documents
• Assist to actively manage the overall risk profile of assets throughout project life,including ongoing monitoring of client and project conditions, proactive risk identification, recommendation of risk mitigants, and management reporting
• Support industry related research and strategy exercises such as development of new growth areas, country strategies and industry benchmarking

Job Requirement

• Education: Bachelor's degree from a good university
• >2 years of experience in Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and/or Syndication
• Worked alongside Investment Banking, Sector Coverage, Strategic Advisory, and/or Corporate Finance
• Fundamental understanding and knowledge of Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and/or Syndication
• Experience in financial modelling, credit analysis, and valuations
• Fluent in English with a strong preference for fluency in Mandarin (you will be required to liaise with clients/stakeholders based in Greater China)
