Job summary

Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch seeks a Senior Associate (contract staff) to join the Structured Finance Team within the Investment Banking Division. The role centers on origination, structuring, and execution of complex debt solutions across Project Finance, Export Finance, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, and Syndication.

You will support portfolio management, risk oversight, and collaboration with Corporate Banking RMs and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Banking & Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, and/or Syndication.
• Experience working with Investment Banking, Sector Coverage, Strategic Advisory, and/or Corporate Finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, and/or Syndication concepts.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, credit analysis, and valuations.
• Fluency in English with Mandarin proficiency preferred for liaising with China-based clients.

Responsibilities

• Drive origination and execution of Project Financing, Structured Export Financing/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and Syndication.
• Oversee relevant portfolio and customer relationships daily.
• Structure and execute complex financing solutions with Corporate Banking RMs and Product teams.
• Contribute to associated Financial Market hedging solutions as part of transactions.
• Prepare term sheets, credit memos, financial modelling and info memos, and coordinate internal approvals.
• Actively manage risk profile of assets, monitor client and project conditions, and report risk mitigants.
• Support research and strategy on growth areas, country strategies and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders; undertake any other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

Support the Structured Finance Team in origination, structuring, and execution of complex debt financing solutions across Project Finance, Export Finance, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, and Syndication within the Investment Banking Division.

Responsibilities

• Assist to drive origination and execution of Project Financing, Structured Export Financing/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance and Syndication.
• Assist to oversee relevant portfolio and customer relationship on a daily basis.
• Assist to structure and execute complex and large-scale financing solutions tailored to clients' needs, through partnering Corporate Banking RMs and Product teams
• Assist to contribute to associated Financial Market hedging solutions as part of aforementioned transactions
• Assist to partner advisory teams within the Division on thought-pieces (pitchbooks) for event driven ideas generated by IBD, comprising of integrated debt (bonds, loans), and hedging solutions
• Assist to draw up term sheets, credit memos, financial modelling and info memos, periodic review of assigned portfolio, as well as the preparation and coordination of internal approval documents
• Assist to actively manage the overall risk profile of assets throughout project life, including ongoing monitoring of client and project conditions, proactive risk identification, recommendation of risk mitigants, and management reporting
• Support industry related research and strategy exercises such as development of new growth areas, country strategies and industry benchmarking

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, and/or Syndication
• Experience working alongside Investment Banking, Sector Coverage, Strategic Advisory, and/or Corporate Finance teams
• Strong knowledge of Project Finance, Structured Export Finance/ECA, Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, and/or Syndication concepts
• Proficiency in financial modelling, credit analysis, and valuations
• Fluency in English with strong preference for Mandarin proficiency to liaise with clients and stakeholders based in China
