Job summary

Bank of China Singapore Branch seeks an Assistant Director for its Structured Finance Team within the Investment Banking Division to lead origination, structuring and execution of complex Project Finance and Structured Export Finance/ECA transactions for top-tier clients.

The role requires a degree from a recognized university, at least 5 years in Project/Structured Export Finance, and fluency in English with Mandarin for liaising with China-based clients.

Qualifications

• Degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project and Structured Export Finance/ECA.
• Proven track record working with Investment Banking teams.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin required to liaise with China-based clients.
• Deep understanding of Project Finance principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive origination and execution of Project Financing, Structured Export Financing and ECA.
• Advise, structure and execute complex, large-scale financing solutions with Corporate Banking RMs and Product teams.
• Contribute to associated Financial Market hedging solutions as part of those transactions.
• Collaborate on thought-pieces (pitchbooks) for event-driven ideas from IBD teams.
• Draw up term sheets, credit memos, financial models and internal approval documents.
• Monitor risk profile and manage portfolio conditions throughout project life.
• Support industry research, country and sector strategies and benchmarking.
• Maintain active pipeline discussions with related divisions.
• Liaise with stakeholders; manage client contact in marketing and execution phases.
• Develop complex Project Finance models and supervise output by junior staff.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
