Job summary

Berkeley Research Group (BRG) is establishing a new APAC Forensic Investigations practice. The Senior Associate role is largely quantitative and backed by BRG’s global network, focusing on forensic accounting, fraud investigations, and eDiscovery. You will contribute to high-stakes inquiries with rigorous data work and analysis.

The position offers structured onboarding, mentoring from day one, and opportunities for professional qualifications; hybrid work and 30 days’ annual leave are provided.

Qualifications

• A degree in business administration, accounting, economics, finance, law, information systems, data science or a comparable subject.
• Internships or previous experience in audit, forensics, compliance, law or data analytics are welcome but not a prerequisite.
• Confident Excel skills.
• Any exposure to SQL, Python or R is a bonus.
• Meticulousness. You will handle sensitive information from your first week.
• Fluent English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support forensic analyses: preparing, cleansing and reconciling data from accounting and ERP systems.
• Review documents in eDiscovery platforms and apply the review protocol consistently.
• Research corporate registries, public filings and open sources, and summarise findings clearly.
• Prepare and maintain working papers, indices and evidence logs.
• Build exhibits, tables and charts for investigation reports.
• Assist with the logistical and organisational side of investigations — which, on a live matter, is a substantial contribution in its own right.
