Job summary

Berkeley Research Group (BRG) is establishing its Forensic Investigations practice across APAC and the UK. This is a genuine build — a new team, in a new market, with BRG’s methodology, credentials and global network behind it.

The role involves leading design and execution of investigations, managing teams across concurrent workstreams, and contributing to business development while upholding BRG’s independence and rigour.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in forensic accounting, investigations, internal audit, or forensic technology.
• Proven ability to develop books of business and lead client engagements.
• Experience managing engagements and teams independently with trust to run mandates.
• Professional qualification in accounting/forensics or equivalent track record in forensic data analytics.
• Strong command of accounting/financial reporting or deep forensic data platforms expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a Business Development plan.
• Manage investigations day to day — work planning, team allocation, budget tracking, quality control and client communication.
• Lead teams of three to six professionals across concurrent workstreams, often under considerable time pressure.
• Design and oversee substantive forensic analysis: transaction and journal entry testing, reconstruction of accounting records, funds tracing, third-party payment review, and analysis of large document populations.
• Conduct and document interviews with witnesses and subjects, typically alongside external counsel.
• Direct forensic technology workstreams: data preservation and processing, structured data analytics, search term design and eDiscovery review protocols.
• Draft investigation reports and sections of expert reports to a standard that will withstand challenge.
• Contribute to business development — proposals, pitches, client presentations and thought leadership.
• Coach, review and appraise junior colleagues, and take a role in recruiting as the team grows.
