This position is part of the academic arm within the Undergraduate Programmes Office (UPO) and is required to lead and support the daily operations in UPO, enhancing the overall NBS student experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the proper planning, implementation and smooth delivery of the programme with the Programme Director.
- Provide timely UAPP updates and reports to management.
- Oversee and manage the administration of undergraduate mid‑term scholarships processes, University/College‑level awards, and NBS Financial Aid applications.
- Oversee and manage with Academic Support Units to manage the Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT).
- Process students’ requests to manage appeals and provide recommendations.
- Review and approve Students’ Leave of Absence applications.
- Review, provide advisory to all matters relating to candidature matters and assess any anomalies in progression pathways.
- Refer to respective support as and when necessary, such as UPO Student Care Team.
- Process re‑admission, withdrawal and termination student matters.
- Responsible for all freshmen credit transfer annually.
- Review, evaluate, update and provide advisory on course exemption matters.
- Provide academic advisory to students.
- Support ad hoc projects, events, and outreach activities.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
- Possess a minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the education sector.
- Prior experience in a relevant administrative role in an institution of higher learning will be advantageous.
- Strong people management and leadership skills; supervisory experience is required.
- Influencer with good interpersonal and communications skills to work well with people collaboratively.
- Self‑motivated, resourceful, and flexible in adjusting and responding to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as a team, personal initiative, and team spirit in the effective implementation of projects.
- Ability to lead the team by providing clear direction, supporting team members, and ensuring tasks are completed effectively and on time.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, multi‑task and deliver with quality and timeliness.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, planning and organisational abilities.
- Organised and meticulous with an eye for details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
