Job summary

Swan & Maclaren Group (SMG) in Singapore is seeking a Senior Architect to lead and manage architectural projects from concept through handover. You will oversee construction documentation, ensure compliance with local codes, administer contracts, and guide the DI team while actively contributing to office management.

The role requires strong BIM experience, design flair, and familiarity with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Recognized Degree in Architecture; preferably registered with the Board of Architects, Singapore.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant architectural experience running BIM projects.
• Good knowledge of architectural details, working drawings and construction practices.
• Knowledge of 3D computer tools and presentation programs such as Microstation, Revit, Photoshop and Sketchup.
• Flair in design and ability to sketch fast and produce strong design concepts.
• Conversant with local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Senior Architect will lead and manage architectural projects from concept to handover, oversee construction documentation, ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, administer contracts, lead the Design Implementation (DI) team, and involve in office management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertakes supervisory responsibilities for all projects from inception, conceptualization, and design to project completion.
• Monitors and manages execution of all projects through regular review of status and progress with staff from design to completion stages
• Conceptualize concept and schematic designs; Carry out feasibility studies and present design proposals;
• Prepares tender documentation, schedules and material specifications;
• Competent in construction details, and able to do design development;
• Have an intimate knowledge of Authority code and requirements;
• Monitor the status of authorities clearances / approvals
• Co-ordinate and controls drafting processes.
• Able to liaise and discuss project-relevant issues with clients;
• Able to liaise, coordinate and lead consultants and contractors;
• Able lead and manage a team of architectural personnel;
• Oversees progress of on-site work and resolves any arising issues;
• Ensures design quality.
