Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a seasoned Data Analyst/Data Scientist to lead data-driven decision making and advanced analytics across the SME and customer lifecycle. You will develop and deploy ML/AI models, translate business needs into analytical frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and risk management.

The role emphasizes production-grade development, governance, and continuous improvement of data solutions within OCBC’s Data & AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in statistics, mathematics, CS, software engineering or data science.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Science, ML or AI solution development with measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to manipulate large datasets and apply advanced analytics for business challenges.
• Strong programming skills with software engineering principles and production-grade practices.
• Experience with large-scale distributed data platforms (Hadoop, Trino, Vector Databases, Ray).

Responsibilities

• Apply data science, advanced analytics, ML and AI to business challenges with measurable value.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for data/AI.
• Design, train, deploy and monitor ML/Generative AI solutions in production at scale.
• Work with Data Engineering to source, curate and integrate datasets for analytics.
• Promote best practices in model development, responsible AI and MLOps.
