Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore is seeking a Data Scientist for the AI Lab to advance AI, ML, and hyper-personalisation across banking domains. You will work on real-world problems that impact millions of customers, building scalable models and data-driven solutions.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in data science, strong Python with ML libraries, and experience with DL/NLP. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, communicate insights clearly, and continuously learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in data science.
• Proficient in Python and modern ML libraries; familiarity with SQL.
• Experience with deep learning, NLP, or reinforcement learning; exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-driven solutions for genAI copilots, recommendations, RAG and etc
• Build and scale predictive and generative models using modern ML
• Explore and apply Agentic AI concepts to automate decision-making and enhance customer engagement
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data across multiple domains
• Develop compelling data stories through advanced visualisation and storytelling techniques
• Partner with cross-functional teams to co-create innovative solutions using the latest in cloud, ML Ops, and real-time data platforms
