Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Senior/Application Analyst with strong Java experience in the banking sector. The role requires analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining complex systems while gathering requirements and estimating efforts to meet business needs.

Responsibilities include code reviews, testing, release procedures, and production support. A Bachelor's in CS/CE/IS and 5+ years of Java development (Spring/J2EE) are required; Oracle PL/SQL and SDLC knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software development experience focused on Java technologies (Spring/J2EE).
• Experience in developing stored procedures, preferably Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, especially waterfall.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• Knowledge of banking and finance domain is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining the system while gathering requirements, conducting technical impact analysis, and estimating development efforts to meet business and technical needs.
• Modify applications to meet requirements, ensuring alignment with development standards and business needs, while conducting peer reviews of source code and documentation to maintain quality and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and support UAT
• prepare release procedures, assist with production implementations, and update functional, technical, and user documentation for system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, provide workarounds, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues; conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and recommend preventive actions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java technologies, particularly the Spring Framework and J2EE.
