Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Senior/Application Analyst with strong Java experience in the banking sector. The role requires analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining complex systems while gathering requirements and estimating efforts to meet business needs.

Responsibilities include code reviews, testing, release procedures, and production support. A Bachelor's in CS/CE/IS and 5+ years of Java development (Spring/J2EE) are required; Oracle PL/SQL and SDLC knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software development experience focused on Java technologies (Spring/J2EE).
• Experience in developing stored procedures, preferably Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, especially waterfall.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• Knowledge of banking and finance domain is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, implement, and maintain systems while gathering requirements and estimating effort.
• Modify applications to align with development standards and perform peer reviews.
• Conduct unit, integration testing, and support UAT.
• Prepare release procedures, assist with production deployments, and update documentation.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis; propose preventive actions.
