Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore is seeking a Technical Specialist / Service Engineer to support testing, diagnosis, repair and servicing of home appliances, collaborating with customers, service partners, internal teams and the factory to identify issues and ensure proper resolution.

You will test, diagnose, repair, review escalated cases, read wiring diagrams, use a multimeter, and travel to sites when required. Mandarin proficiency is preferred and travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Nitec / Higher Nitec in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant technical or service experience.
• Experience with home appliances or consumer electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair home appliances
• Review and resolve technical cases escalated by service partners or customer service
• Identify root causes across product defects, installation, usage, transport or workmanship
• Investigate product faults and identify the root cause
• Recommend suitable solutions, such as repair, replacement, adjustment or factory escalation
• Provide technical support and guidance to service partners and customer service
• Work with factory on product issues, technical questions and corrective actions
• Analyse recurring complaints and identify product or service issues
• Escalate major technical or product issues to management
• Follow up on cases to ensure timely resolution and closure
• Visit customer sites, service locations or warehouses when required
