Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Legal Counsel to support Marketing, Communications and Design in APAC. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate complex commercial and licensing agreements, ensure privacy compliance, and monitor regulatory developments in Greater China and other APAC markets.

Required are 6+ years of marketing legal experience, in-house or at a law firm, APAC expertise, and fluency in Mandarin.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of marketing legal experience, in-house or at a law firm.
• Subject matter expertise in APAC marketing legal issues.
• Regional knowledge of Greater China.
• Proficiency in data protection frameworks (GDPR, PDPA).
• Fluency in Mandarin preferred in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate complex commercial and licensing agreements.
• Ensure compliance with global privacy frameworks and local regulations.
• Monitor legislative developments in Greater China and other APAC markets.
• Collaborate with Product and Privacy Legal teams to drive efficiency and compliance.
