Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Product Counsel to advise on money movement products across Asia-Pacific, partnering with product, engineering, partnerships, compliance, risk, marketing and Legal teams to navigate requirements and bring products to market.

You will ensure products comply with applicable laws and translate complex regulatory frameworks into actionable guidance, while helping shape scalable processes for product launches and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years as a qualified lawyer in a law firm, in-house, or government agency.
Experience with payment services laws and Singapore law is preferred.
Experience advising technology teams and translating complex legal requirements.
Ability to collaborate across teams and exercise sound judgment.
Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

Advise product teams on legal and regulatory considerations for money movement products in Asia-Pacific.
Partner with product, engineering, partnerships, compliance, risk, marketing, and Legal teams.
Navigate emerging requirements and bring products to market compliantly.
Advise on new regulatory developments and their effects on business activities.
Support regulatory structures, customer agreements, and strategic partnerships.
Help scope and build scalable processes for legal review and product launches.
Stay up to date on money movement laws and act as a strategic advisor to senior managers.
