cyberbot pte. ltd. is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will work with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and other engineers to deliver reliable, high-quality experiences in a fast-paced product engineering team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with native Android.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, the Android SDK, and the Android application lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience building production applications with Jetpack Compose.
• Practical understanding of Clean Architecture and the ability to apply it to product development.
• Experience with MVVM, MVI, unidirectional data flow, or similar architectural patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, network error handling, and data mapping.
• Experience with Room, SQLite, or other local data-storage solutions.
• Experience with Hilt, Dagger, or other dependency injection frameworks.
• Ability to read, understand, maintain, and extend a large existing codebase.
• Ability to independently analyze requirements, implement features, write tests, and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with Git, pull requests, and code review workflows.
• Experience using Jira to manage work items, track development progress, and document delivery outcomes.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android features.
• Build stable, responsive UI with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Translate requirements into technical implementations following architecture.
• Apply Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVI, or similar patterns.
• Integrate backend services and local data storage.
• Use Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for async operations.
• Improve performance, stability, and testability.
• Write unit, integration, and UI tests where appropriate.
• Analyze and resolve issues across UI, data, networking, and systems.
• Participate in pull requests and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and other engineers.
• Share Android knowledge to raise team engineering quality.
