Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd in Singapore is seeking a skilled Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications. You will focus on native Android, Kotlin (preferred) and Java, delivering secure, scalable apps with great UX in an Agile environment.

You'll collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers; implement RESTful APIs, CI/CD, and ensure data privacy and security through best practices. Experience with iOS Swift bonus is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Android application development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining production mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and RESTful API integration.
• Experience with AWS or cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Experience working with location services, push notifications, QR code scanning, payment integration, or digital wallets.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automated mobile testing.
• Exposure to AI-powered mobile features is an added advantage.
• iOS development experience (Swift) is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications.
• Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and Backend Engineers, throughout the product development lifecycle.
