Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is seeking a Senior/Executive AI Software Developer to join the Transport AI Programme. You will build and maintain AI-powered applications for transport operations, integrating LLMs and multimodal models into production workflows.

Expect collaboration with data scientists, AI architects, and public sector partners. You will implement guardrails, evaluation harnesses, and observability tooling to ensure safe, reliable AI systems, with experience in Python

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of software development experience in computer science/engineering
• At least 2 years working on AI or ML-integrated systems
• Proficient in Python with strong fundamentals
• Familiar with LangChain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch or equivalent AI/ML frameworks
• Experience with cloud-native development (AWS, Azure or GCP) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
• CI/CD pipelines and observability practices; ability to operate in regulated/government environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications across transport use cases
• Integrate AI models into production workflows and APIs/microservices
• Collaborate with data scientists and operations teams to translate needs into robust software
• Implement guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and observability tooling for safe AI systems
• Participate in red-team exercises, prompt-injection testing, and AI safety activities
• Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI products in production environments
