Job summary

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore is hiring an AI Software Developer for the Transport AI Programme. You will build and maintain AI-powered applications to sense, manage, and optimise Singapore's land transport network, collaborating with data scientists, AI architects, and operations teams.

You will translate AI models into production software, design scalable APIs and pipelines, and ensure safety and reliability in live services while working in a cross‑functional, fast‑moving

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of software development experience with at least 2 years in AI/ML-integrated systems.
• Proficient in Python; familiar with LangChain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch.
• Experience with LLM integration, agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, observability.
• Cloud-native development (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices, model monitoring, and safety.
• Ability to work in cross-functional, Agile teams and explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications across transport use cases.
• Integrate large language models, computer vision models, and AI components into workflows (RAG pipelines).
• Model optimization and quantization to improve inference performance.
• Evaluate inference engines (vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, Triton) and publish recommendations.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and data pipelines connecting AI to operations.
• Implement guardrails and observability tooling for production AI safety.
• Collaborate with industry partners; maintain code quality and documentation.
• Participate in red-teaming, prompt-injection testing, and AI safety activities.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI products.
