Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is seeking a Senior/Executive Data Engineer for the Transport AI Programme. You will design and maintain data pipelines, models, and governance to enable AI-powered transport solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant professional data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with hands-on experience in Spark, Kafka, dbt, Airflow.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and data warehousing or lakehouse architectures.
• Familiarity with real-time or streaming data processing.
• Experience building data pipelines for ML/AI workloads is desirable.
• Experience working in regulated government or critical infrastructure environments is a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate in Agile, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines ingesting data from diverse transport sources.
• Develop and manage data models, data catalogues, and feature stores for AI workflows.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance across the data platform.
• Implement data governance measures including access controls, masking, anonymisation, and audit logging.
• Collaborate with AI architects and infrastructure engineers on scalable data infrastructure.
• Coordinate with data scientists and AI developers to translate data needs into robust data products.
• Support integration of external data sources with industry partners following standards.
