Job summary

ShopBack is building AI-native consumer experiences at scale. You will lead product strategy for AI-powered surfaces, from framing problems to defining success metrics, while shaping how the team adopts AI in daily workflows.

You will prototype early, set craft standards, and own the evaluation framework for AI features, driving outcomes that tie to real user value across discovery, search, and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Has shipped AI-powered features that real users relied on (search, recommendations, generative UI, conversational interfaces).
• Able to spec requirements that unblock engineers with clear verbal descriptions, reference URLs, or working prototypes.
• Experience turning messy problems into crisp statements with measurable success criteria.

Responsibilities

• Frame the problem with a clear success condition.
• Set the craft bar: define quality surfaces and enforce standards under deadlines.
• Prototype early using AI-assisted tools before formal specs are written.
• Own product strategy for your domain and link metrics to design decisions.
• Build an eval layer for AI surfaces with structured test cases and coverage.
• Mentor teammates and shape problem-solving approaches across the team.
