Job summary

Palo IT is hiring a SeniorAI-NativeEngineer (Software) in Singapore to lead complex features and AI-assisted development. You will guide technical decisions with Architects and cross-functional teams, applying Gen-E2 methodologies to accelerate delivery and raise engineering quality.

You will mentor engineers, establish AI best practices, and drive scalable, secure applications using ReactJS frontend and NodeJS/Java/Python backend. A strong AI-tooling background is essential.

YOUR ROLE

At Palo IT, senior engineers are expected to be AI-Native by default. As a SeniorAI-NativeEngineer (Software), you will lead the development of complex features and modules while guiding team members on technical decisions and AI-assisted development practices.

You will partner with Tech Leads, Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. You will apply Palo IT's Gen-E2methodologyto accelerate delivery and improve engineering quality.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineering & Development (Senior Scope)

• Lead the development of complex features, modules, and components.
• Designhigh-performance, scalable solutionsusing AI-powered approaches.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and AI-assisted analysis.
• Understand DevOps workflows and implementCI/CD automation pipelines.
• Establish best practiceson code quality and performance within project scope.

AI-Native Engineering (Core Expectation)

• UseGenerative AI coding tools(e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a first-class engineering assistant for code generation,optimisation, and problem-solving.
• Guideteammemberson effective use of AI tools and prompt engineering techniques.
• Establish AI/GenAI best practiceswithin project scope, including output validation and guardrails.
• Leverage AI tools totroubleshoot and resolve technical issuesefficiently.
• Stay current withemerging AI technologiesand development practices.

Collaboration & Technical Guidance

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineerson technical skills and AI-assisted workflows.
• Partner with Tech Leads and Architects toguide technical decisionswithin projects.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute toGen-E2 practices, reusable accelerators, and internal playbooks.
• Support presales and architecture discussionswhenrequired.

Must-Have Experience

• 5+ yearsof hands-on software development experience
• Deep technologicalexpertiseand a strong software development background.
• Experience withsolution architecture.
• Team leadership experience.
• Experience in developingscalable, reliable, and secure applications.
• Preferred technologies includeReactJSfor frontend development andNodeJS/Java/Pythonfor backend development.
• Strong understanding of commonprogramming patterns and principles.
• Demonstrated use ofAI tools in day-to-day engineering work(not just theoretical exposure).

AI-Native & Gen-E2 Skills (Required)

• Hands-on, daily useof AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot or equivalent).
• Strong understanding ofprompt engineering principlesforoptimalAI tool interaction.
• Experiencevalidatingand controlling GenAI outputs(hallucination handling, code review of AI-generated code).
• Critical thinking tovalidateand verify AI-generated code and solutions.

Good to Have

• Experience withAI/ML services and frameworks.
• Experience withcloud computing platforms(Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Native mobile development(iOS, Android) orhybrid mobile development(Flutter, React Native).
• Certification in Claude AI (Anthropic) is a plus.
