Job summary

Palo IT Singapore seeks an AI-Native Engineer (Software) to design, build, and deliver production-grade applications while leveraging Generative AI as part of daily engineering workflow.

You will work with modern full-stack technologies for frontend and backend, with exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). The role emphasizes Gen-E2 methodology to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong frontend with ReactJS and backend with NodeJS/Java.
• Experience with AI tools in day-to-day engineering work.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and testing practices.

YOUR ROLE

At Palo IT, every engineer isAI-Native. As anAI-NativeEngineer(Software),you will design, build, and deliver production-grade applications while actively using AI and Generative AI as part of your daily engineering workflow.

You will work primarily with modernfullstacktechnologiesforfrontendandbackend, with exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). You will apply Palo IT'sGen-E2methodologyto accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and build scalable, secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineering & Development

• Design, build, andmaintainfull stackapplicationsusingmodernframeworks(ReactJS,NodeJS, Java,Pythonor equivalent)

• Developscalable, reliable, and secure applicationsfollowing modern software engineering practices.

• ImplementCI/CD automation pipelinesand understand DevOps workflows.

• Ensure code quality throughtesting, code reviews, and performanceoptimisation.

AI-Native Engineering (Core Expectation)

• UseGenerative AI coding tools(e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a first-class engineering assistant for:

  • Code scaffolding and refactoring

  • Code generation andoptimisation

  • Test-casesand documentation generation

• Build applications throughAI-driven development practices, including:

  • AI-assisted debugging and troubleshooting

  • Intelligent code completion and pattern recognition

  • Automated documentation generation

• Applyprompt engineering best practicesfor reliable, repeatable engineering outcomes.

• ValidateGenAI output(determinism checks, guardrails, fallback logic).

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaboratewith project teams, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Contribute toGen-E2 practices,and internal playbooks.

• Supportsolutiondiscussions and technical discovery whenrequired.

Must-Have Experience

• 3+ yearsof hands-on software development experience.Preferred technologies include ReactJSfor frontend development and NodeJS/Java for backend development.

• Understandingofrelational and non-relational databases.

• Experience withtesting frameworksand code quality practices.

• Strong understanding of common programming patterns and principles.

• Demonstrated use ofAI tools in day-to-day engineering work(not just theoretical exposure).

AI-Native & Gen-E2 Skills (Required)

• Hands-on experience withGitHub Copilot or equivalent AI coding assistants.

• Ability to build and evolve applications usingGenAIassistance.

• Strong understanding ofprompt engineeringfor technical use cases.

• Experiencevalidatingand controlling GenAI outputs(hallucination handling, code review of AI-generated code).

• Critical thinking to verify AI-generated code and solutions.

Good to Have

• Experience withcloud computing platforms(Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Experience withsolution architectureprinciples.

• Exposure toAI/ML services and frameworks.

• Native mobile development (iOS, Android) or hybrid mobile development (Flutter, React Native).

• Certification in Claude AI (Anthropic) is a plus.
